Sat 7th Sept 1.30 - 4pm Sat 19th Oct 1.30 - 4pm Sat 2nd Nov 1.30 - 4pm Sat 14th Dec 1.30 - 4pm Come to the craftiest place in Leeds for our brand new pottery painting sessions. Paint your choice of mug, plate, bowl, or tile with a design of your choosing using underglazes while you sit and chat with friends and family! At £30 per person with no hidden costs or fees, drinks and refreshments provided, this is the perfect opportunity to socialize and craft in Leeds City Centre. Paint your pottery, leave it a week or two, and when you get a text or email notification that your pot has been glazed and fired, come and collect it from the Fabrication reserve shelf at any point during opening hours! Our Autumnal pottery painting sessions will be running once a month in the afternoon at 1:30-4:00. These courses will be run by Becky Walker of BBRT and supported by Katy Davies from Ceramic Rabbit. Becky has been making for as long as she can remember and currently sells mosaics and children’s clothes and accessories at Fabrication on Briggate. She loves to create and even though she sells broken glass and ceramics- she loves to paint pottery. Becky has been teaching for over 10 years and is excited to facilitate pottery painting sessions at the fantastic Fabrication Crafts! Katy is a talented ceramicist, and her craft has been passed down in her family for generations. She inherited her kiln from her grandmother, who was also a ceramicist, and Katy is excellent at hand building figurines. She is the behind-the-scenes expert on ceramics and will be helping glaze and fire the pieces you paint. This class will be held in Fabrication Leeds at 83 Briggate, Leeds, LS1 6LH (1) Facebook Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via another set of stairs.

Children must be supervised by an adult and though the adults do not have to paint they must stay upstairs with the child at all times. Max 3 children per adult. Workshops are recommended for children aged 5+ though younger children are welcomed with a hands on parent to help them. Make and decorate a sinamay cocktail hat

Workshop in Leeds city centre

Sat 20th Sept 11 - 4pm Come and learn the art of hat making with professional milliner Alison Turton. Alison has over twenty seven years experience working in the theatre, opera, ballet and bridal world and has made literally hundreds of hats! In this relaxed and friendly workshop you will learn how to make a cocktail hat using sinamay and traditional blocking techniques, along with decorating the hat. There is also an option to made a headband instead if you wish. Sewing experience is not essential but might be helpful. All materials are included along with tea, coffee and biscuits. Cost is £65 including all materials, equipment and tuition. This class will be held in Fabrication Leeds at 83 Briggate Leeds Access: The Fabrication shop has level access from the street. The class area is located on the first floor of the shop with only access via stairs. Toilets are also on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.
