Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful.

Make your own miniature book. All the fun of bookbinding at a fraction of the size. This class will take your through the basics of making a miniature case binding, using book cloth and decorative paper. All materials will be provided but participants are very welcome to bring their own paper to incorporate into their bindings if suitable.

Create your very own tiny tome. Tomes can have jump rings added if you would like to turn your tome into a book themed necklace or brooch. A short fun class aimed at beginners.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors. If you have any specific access queries, don’t hesitate to contact Anachronalia.

    Join Laura from L & S Crafts (2) Facebook at Fabrication York in York city centre, for a fun, informative workshop to learn how to make paper roses from your choice of book paper, sheet music or maps. The finished roses will then be mounted on wire stems and taped to give a neat finish.

Make your very own sheep in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from  (4) Felty and Fabulous | Facebook You will learn 3D needle felting techniques and choose from a selection of wool to make your sheep ‘ewenique’! Based on a 16th-Century book in the Vatican library, come make your own lay flat sketchbook, using only paper, card, needle, and thread. Along the way learn more about the types of books used by ordinary folk during the later medieval period for accounts, ledgers, and pocket notebooks. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request).
