Want to learn how to needle-felt or to improve your skills?
Make a picture of a Spring themed picture in this fun and relaxing 2-hour workshop with established textile artist, Brenda Christison, from Felty and Fabulous. Bring along a favourite photo or let your imagination run wild! You will start by sketching your ideas and then learn 2D needle felting techniques to create a picture to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from. Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS

Access: The Fabrication shop has step access from the street.  The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor in a separate room.  Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

    Jesmonite – Make a set of homewares Dates: Sun 8th Nov 2 - 4pm Sat 29th Nov 11 - 1pm During this 2-hour workshop you will be shown step by step, with demo’s, how to create a Jesmonite (non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin) trinket tray, coaster and small pot using Terrazzo, Marbling & Block Colour techniques. You will have the chance to get creative with these techniques and various colours.  At the end of the class, you will have made a pretty set of homewares and as jesmonite is quick to set you can take it straight home with you. £40 per person.  All materials for each process are provided so just turn up and enjoy. No experience needed. You may wish to bring an apron if you want to keep your clothes clean, as it can sometimes be a messy process. Classes are limited to 6 people to allow support to be given where needed. Suitable for age 12+ under 16 to be accompanied by an adult. Your tutor is Wendy of PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy started to experiment with Jesmonite in 2023 and loves the fast-setting process and different techniques you can use.  Wendy says, “you just never know what the finished effect is going to be until you decant your product, each piece is truly unique!” Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits during your class.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.     Sunday 1st September 2024 11am-1pm Want to learn how to sculpt with wool? Create a 3D needle felted owl in this fun and relaxing 2hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous. You will learn a variety of needle felting techniques and produce your very own owl to take home. Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult. Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs . Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.
