Fabrication is a social enterprise set up to support micro crafts businesses and offer craft classes, workspace, hen parties and corporate events in house, and outreach to disadvantaged groups Set down a secret alleyway, in an 18thc building full of textile history, in the heart of leeds, the space is available for use, on an ad hoc hire basis, by designer/makers who might otherwise be crawling around on the floor to cut out their creations and workign from the kitchen table or shed, not having access to the space and professional equipment needed to improve their business standards. There are also classes held in a variety of craft and business subjects and we are always looking for tutors who may be interested in holding one, whether it be in pr or knitting and all those subjects in between. The space can also be hired by groups for meetings, hen parties wishing a different kind of event etc. In house companies are Ages of Elegance www.agesofelegance.co.uk and Military metalwork www.militarymetalwork.co.uk, who also provide other services from gold plating and electroforming to sample making and web design/it services for small businesses
