Want to learn how to sculpt with wool’?

Create a needle-felted sheep in this fun and relaxing 2-hour workshop with established textile artist, Brenda Christison, from Felty and Fabulous. You will learn 3D needle felting techniques and produce your very own sheep to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from and lots of examples to inspire.

Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

Access: The Fabrication shop has step access from the street.  The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor in a separate room.  Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

    Join Laura from L & S Crafts (2) Facebook at Fabrication York in York city centre, for a fun, informative workshop to learn how to make paper roses from your choice of book paper, sheet music or maps. The finished roses will then be mounted on wire stems and taped to give a neat finish.
    You will develop the skills to make further roses at home. Book paper flowers make lovely gifts, home decorations or even wedding bouquets. Perfect for weddings, first wedding anniversaries, or just to treat yourself!
    All equipment and materials will be provided, however if you have a favourite book or piece of music that you would like to incorporate, feel free to bring it along.
    Hot drinks will be available.
    Minimum age for participants is 18 years.

    Beginners Candle Making Workshop in York city centre

    Sat 7th June 11.30 - 1pm Sat 5th July 11 - 12.30pm Sat 20th Sept 11 - 12.30pm Beginners Candle Making Workshop in York city centre. Ideal for anyone new to candle making.  You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax candles and tealights.  Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights.  These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy has over 13 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and finishing of your candles which will be ready to collect from Fabrication York 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The workshops last around 1.5 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.
