New artists, designers and makers at Fabrication Leeds As usual the first part of the year has been a busy one in terms of new sellers joining us in store. We know it can be hard to keep track of new additions, so we thought we’d introduce a few of them here:   Yorkshire More Yorkshire More is a social enterprise based in Leeds, making jams and chutneys in support of mental health.  We do this by engaging volunteers, many of whom are affected directly or indirectly by mental health difficulties, in the making, labelling and selling of the jams and chutneys. There are items for a wide range of budgets and you truly can find something for everyone in the shop, as evidenced by the fact that some of our sellers have done all their Christmas shopping in store, so why notRead More →

Jewellery By Trudy grew out of a lifelong passion for art and design and a love of jewellery.   I work out of my studio based in Morley, Leeds. Over the last 8 years my business has grown and developed leading me on a thoroughly enjoyable creative journey. Initially my work was around understanding and working with silver incorporating semi precious stones, Swarovski crystal and Murano glass. I have always been drawn to colour and sparkle so it was an amazing discovery when I found dichroic glass. Here was the medium that allowed me to work with all my favourite things! Read More →

”Would you ever be  good girleen and…….” Girleen Giftware is a family business run by husband Danny, wife Catherine and their 3 littleones. The name ‘Girleen’ is a tribute to their Irish backgrounds and upbringing where ‘een’ was often added to the end of words. Inparticular, Catherine’s Mam would often refer to her as a ‘good girleen’, hence the name. Girleen Giftware’s products have always reflected the family’s interests. In the early days of the business, Catherine worked independently, selling a range of Irish, Celtic and Religious goods including handmade cards with inscriptions in Irish Gaelic. The range has also recently expanded to include signs,Read More →

Originally from Ireland, I am a Leeds based ceramic artist and woodworker. All my products are individually designed and the glazes are my unique recipes, representing Yorkshire and the coastline of County Antrim. I also produce various interior items made from reclaimed and other sustainably sourced wood. These include serving boards, log carriers, and other furniture. Yarn Bowls: The Yarn Bowl allows the wool to be dispensed in a controlled manner so preventing it from rolling around and becoming entangled. It allows the knitter to observe the quality and beauty of the wool as it unravels. The solid body of the Yarn Bowl complements theRead More →

Shelley Lodge graduated from Huddersfield University in 2012 with a first class honours degree in Art and Design.  During her degree she specialised in enamelling and now makes a wide range of contemporary enamelled items including, jewellery (pendants, cuffs, earrings, bracelets, brooches) as well as wall art, miniature abstract landscapes, accessories and decorations.  The enamelling process involves fusing glass to copper in a kiln at around 900 degrees; due to the nature of this process, all items are unique, as well as 100% handcrafted. Although the art of enamelling is thousands of years old, Shelley aims to be innovative in her approach to enamelling, creatingRead More →
