Create Your Own Terrarium in Leeds city centre

Sat 15th June 11 - 1pm Sun 21st July 11.30 - 1.30pm £65 per person and your 2 hour session includes:

An introduction to terrariums
Briefing on choice of materials, terrarium dynamics and aftercare
Demonstration and hands on making
Take home your creation

.Price includes tuition, all materials for your Terrarium (Container, substrates and plants) along with tea/coffee.

These courses will be conducted by Amarah, a surgeon by profession, who has temporarily taken a step back from the operating room, to spend more time with family and explore her creative side as a terrarium artist. On this platform, she shares her skill and conducts Terrarium Making Classes, providing an opportunity to learn a new skill and inspiring others to discover the joy and therapeutic benefits of creating these green scapes!

This class will be held in Fabrication Leeds at 83 Briggate, Leeds, LS1 6LH (1) Facebook Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via another set of stairs.

11th Nov 2023: 13:30-16:30 £30 a head. Maximum 8 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful. Make your own re-useable pocket notebook. Perfect for notes on the go. All materials and tools are provided. Held at Fabrication, 19 Coney Street, York. Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request). Christmas Candle Making Workshop in Leeds city centre

Christmas Candle Making Workshop Dates: Sat 16th Nov either 11 -1pm or 2 - 4pm Sun 24th Nov 2 - 4pm Sun 8th Dec 2 - 4pm Ideal for anyone new to candle making. You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax Christmas candles and tealights. Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various Christmas aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights. These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles. Wendy has over 10 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and CLP labelling and your candles will be ready to collect from Fabrication Leeds Facebook 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18). The workshops last around 2 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits. About Jackie With over 20 years of experience in silversmithing and metalsmithing, I’ve developed a deep love for the art of jewellery making. What has always captivated me most is the creative freedom found in working with clay — the way it allows the imagination to flow freely toward a finished design.

I began using clay as a way to prototype my metal pieces, and through that process, I fell in love with the medium itself. Now, it brings me great joy to share this journey with others, teaching the craft and inspiring new makers to explore their own creativity.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS Access: The Fabrication shop has stepped access from the street. The class area is located on the ground floor of the shop with access via the shop floor (which also has a step enroute). Toilets are also on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.
