Want to learn how to needle-felt? Or want to improve your skills?
Make a small meadow scene in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous.
You will learn the basic needle felting techniques and then create  a small landscape to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from.
Beginners welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request). Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

Dates are secured with a non refundable 50% deposit, the balance is due by the event day, cancellations within your party cannot be refunded within 7 days of the event. If booked within 2 weeks of date of event then full payment is required at the time of booking

    Slow Fashion Darning and Embroidery Workshop join us for a special York Fashion Week Event Darning is an eco-friendly way to repair your clothes, helping them to avoid landfill and preserving a fabric you love. It is a low and therapeutic embroidery process that strengthens your clothes while adding a decorative element. You can either bring along something to mend or we can provide all the materials so that you can learn this hand embroidery technique. Thanks to a grant from First Buses Fabrication Crafts on Coney Street have been running a number of free workshops showing participants how to upcycle, repair and enhance their clothing. Saturday 29th April 11am to 1pm the workshop is free however prebooking is required to save a place This is held at our York Coney Street shop, on the 1st floor in our upstairs classroom space with no disabled access

    Christmas Candle Making Workshop in Leeds city centre

    Christmas Candle Making Workshop Dates: Sat 16th Nov either 11 -1pm or 2 - 4pm Sun 24th Nov 2 - 4pm Sun 8th Dec 2 - 4pm Ideal for anyone new to candle making.  You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax Christmas candles and tealights.  Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various Christmas aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights.  These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy has over 10 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and CLP labelling and your candles will be ready to collect from Fabrication Leeds Facebook 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The workshops last around 2 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.
