Needle Felting – Felted Meadow Scene
Needle Felting Class York City Centre
Want to learn how to needle-felt? Or want to improve your skills?
Make a small meadow scene in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous.
You will learn the basic needle felting techniques and then create  a small landscape to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from.
Beginners welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request). Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

Dates are secured with a non refundable 50% deposit, the balance is due by the event day, cancellations within your party cannot be refunded within 7 days of the event. If booked within 2 weeks of date of event then full payment is required at the time of booking

    Book paper rose Workshop Sun 3rd March 11.15 - 1.15pm
    Join Laura from L & S Crafts (2) Facebook at Fabrication York in York city centre, for a fun, informative workshop to learn how to make paper roses from your choice of book paper, sheet music or maps. The finished roses will then be mounted on wire stems and taped to give a neat finish.
    You will develop the skills to make further roses at home. Book paper flowers make lovely gifts, home decorations or even wedding bouquets. Perfect for weddings, first wedding anniversaries, or just to treat yourself!
    All equipment and materials will be provided, however if you have a favourite book or piece of music that you would like to incorporate, feel free to bring it along.
    Hot drinks will be available.
    Minimum age for participants is 18 years.

    Make your own Vintage Style Notebook - 20th July 2024 13:00-16:30 £40 a head. Maximum 6 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners to bookbinding but some previous craft experience is helpful. Make your own vintage style notebook inspired by stationery bindings of the late 19th/early 20th Century. This class will take your through the basics of sewing and gluing up a text block, creating the cover in a traditional 1/2 bound design (i.e. with spine and corners in book cloth and the cover in marbled paper) and casing in. At the end you will have your own blank notebook to take home. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street.     ‘Beyond Normal’ ‘Beyond Normal’ showcases the collective works of local artists Lincoln Lightfoot and Reid Bennington beginning with the exclusive preview on Friday 10th May 6-9pm and then throughout the following week Sat 11th-Sun 19th May from 10am-5pm daily. ‘Beyond Normal’ follows creatures in unusual situations and confronts the absurdity of the now! The exhibition offers a comical style of escapism from everyday problems and promises to be an exciting and enjoyable for art lovers of all ages! Inspired by a love of b-movie poster art Lightfoot depicts unusual happenings staged in well-known settings whilst tapping into the present condition of fear that our news media and politicians perpetuate in a post Covid-19 world. Bennington’s work follows humanoid animal creatures complete with animated expression in comical scenarios.  Illustrations and 3D works fascinate, engage and are oddly relatable.
