Want to learn how to needle-felt?

Make your very own sheep in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from  (4) Felty and Fabulous | Facebook

You will learn 3D needle felting techniques and choose from a selection of wool to make your sheep ‘ewenique’!

All equipment provided.

Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

You can book the classes above directly from our website, however please note payment isn't taken until the date is confirmed with us, to make sure we can accommodate the required date and time for your event. Dates are secured with a non refundable 50% deposit, the balance is due by the event day, cancellations within your party cannot be refunded within 7 days of the event. If booked within 2 weeks of date of event then full payment is required at the time of booking

    Saturday 1st February 10am - 12nooon Want to learn how to needle-felt or to improve your skills? Make a picture of a landscape in this fun and relaxing 2-hour workshop with established textile artist, Brenda Christison, from Felty and Fabulous. Bring along a favourite photo or let your imagination run wild! You will start by sketching your ideas and then learn 2D needle felting techniques to create a picture to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from. Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS Access: The Fabrication shop has step access from the street.  The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor in a separate room.  Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

    Christmas Candle Making Workshop in York city centre

    Christmas Candle Making Workshop Dates: Sat 2nd Nov either 11 -1pm or 2 - 4pm Sun 1st Dec 11 - 1pm Sun 15th Dec 11 - 1pm Ideal for anyone new to candle making.  You can enjoy learning how to make your own soy wax Christmas candles and tealights.  Working at a relaxed pace and choosing from various Christmas aromas you will make 2 x tin container candles and a set of 6 tealights.  These are yours to keep (once they've cured). Workshops are kept small to allow for individual attention, all materials, equipment and tuition are included in the price. On the day all you need to do is turn up and enjoy. Your tutor is Wendy, owner of York based business PQ Soy Wax Candles.  Wendy has over 10 years experience of making candles and wax melts. After the workshop, Wendy will manage the curing and CLP labelling and your candles will be ready to collect from Fabrication York 1 week after the workshop. All the products you'll make are suitable for Vegans. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  The workshops last around 2 hours with complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits.  Please advise of allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop.     Jesmonite – Make a set of homewares Dates: Sun 8th Nov 2 - 4pm Sat 29th Nov 11 - 1pm During this 2-hour workshop you will be shown step by step, with demo’s, how to create a Jesmonite (non-toxic, eco-friendly, water-based resin) trinket tray, coaster and small pot using Terrazzo, Marbling & Block Colour techniques. You will have the chance to get creative with these techniques and various colours.  At the end of the class, you will have made a pretty set of homewares and as jesmonite is quick to set you can take it straight home with you. £40 per person.  All materials for each process are provided so just turn up and enjoy. No experience needed. You may wish to bring an apron if you want to keep your clothes clean, as it can sometimes be a messy process. Classes are limited to 6 people to allow support to be given where needed. Suitable for age 12+ under 16 to be accompanied by an adult.
