Want to learn how to ‘paint with wool’?

Create a needle-felted picture in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous. You will learn 2D needle felting techniques and produce your very own picture felted onto a piece of vintage blanket. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from.

Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

Needle Felting Class York City Centre
Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL

Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via three sets of fire doors.

    Make your own Vintage Style Notebook - 20th July 2024 13:00-16:30 £40 a head. Maximum 6 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners to bookbinding but some previous craft experience is helpful. Make your own vintage style notebook inspired by stationery bindings of the late 19th/early 20th Century. This class will take your through the basics of sewing and gluing up a text block, creating the cover in a traditional 1/2 bound design (i.e. with spine and corners in book cloth and the cover in marbled paper) and casing in. At the end you will have your own blank notebook to take home. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street.     9th Jun 2024: 13:00-16:00 £30 a head. Maximum 6 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful. All tools and materials provided. Based on a 16th-Century book in the Vatican library, come make your own lay flat sketchbook, using only a folded card cover, drawing paper pages, and a deceptively simple looking sewing pattern. Along the way learn more about the types of books used by ordinary folk during the later medieval period for accounts, ledgers, and pocket notebooks. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street.
