Want to learn how to sculpt with wool’?

Create a needle-felted Easter egg decoration in this fun and relaxing 2-hour workshop with established textile artist, Brenda Christison, from Felty and Fabulous. You will learn 2D needle felting techniques and produce your very own egg to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from and lots of examples to inspire.

Beginners and those with experience welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate YO1 8AS

Access: The Fabrication shop has step access from the street.  The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor in a separate room.  Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.

    Make a small seaside scene in this fun and relaxing 2 hour workshop with Brenda Christison from Felty and Fabulous.
    You will learn the basic needle felting techniques and then create  a small landscape to take home. All equipment provided, including a selection of gorgeous wool colours to choose from.
    Beginners welcome! Age 10+. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
    Cost is £25 including all materials, equipment and tuition  along with tea, coffee, biscuits.
    Saturday 8th July 10.30 - 12.30 This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request).     Beyond Normal Exhibition – 11th – 19th May 2024

    ‘Beyond Normal’ ‘Beyond Normal’ showcases the collective works of local artists Lincoln Lightfoot and Reid Bennington beginning with the exclusive preview on Friday 10th May 6-9pm and then throughout the following week Sat 11th-Sun 19th May from 10am-5pm daily. ‘Beyond Normal’ follows creatures in unusual situations and confronts the absurdity of the now! The exhibition offers a comical style of escapism from everyday problems and promises to be an exciting and enjoyable for art lovers of all ages! Inspired by a love of b-movie poster art Lightfoot depicts unusual happenings staged in well-known settings whilst tapping into the present condition of fear that our news media and politicians perpetuate in a post Covid-19 world. Bennington’s work follows humanoid animal creatures complete with animated expression in comical scenarios.  Illustrations and 3D works fascinate, engage and are oddly relatable. Our York exhibition space is situated on the first floor, accessibly via 2 flights of stairs, of the York Fabrication Retail space, 19 Coney St, York, YO1 9QL, within a 2 minute walk to buses and a 10 minute walk to car parks and to York Railway Station, surrounded by other independent shops, bars and restaurants and in the heart of York City Centre.
