We have a number of of craft classes in Leeds City Centre. Ranging from sewing & historical dressmaking course, through to bookbinding workshops. Also textile printing, bookbinding classes, jewellery making leatherwork and felting
There are cookery classes, crafty hen parties and outreach learning as well

10th June 2026 – Bookbinding Class: Making the Naughty List – a 16th-Century stationery binding
Bookbinding Classes, Classes York, Craft Classes, Exhibitions and Events, Exhibitions and Events in York, Heritage Craft Skills Workshops, Heritage Crafts Workshops, Past classes3 hour class Max 10 participants, £40 a ticket. Originally used to list the priests who did not attend mass in the Vatican, recreate this surprisingly modern looking late medieval/ early modern binding based on a surviving example in the Vatican library. This class will take you through preparing your pages, sewing, lining your cover with decorative papers as well as creating an elaborately cut label for the cover. Suitable for complete beginners to bookbinding. Ages 16+ This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate, York YO1 8AS Access: The Fabrication shop has 3 steps up from the street and 2 further steps inside to access the rear of the shop. The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only. -
£30.008th Oct 2023: 13:00-16:00 £30 a head. Maximum 6 participants. Hot drinks included. Suitable for beginners but some previous craft experience is helpful. All tools and materials provided. Based on a 16th-Century book in the Vatican library, come make your own lay flat sketchbook, using only paper, card, needle, and thread. Along the way learn more about the types of books used by ordinary folk during the later medieval period for accounts, ledgers, and pocket notebooks. This class will be held in Fabrication York at 19 Coney St, York YO1 9QL Access: The Fabrication shop has level access to the street. The class area is on the first floor accessed via 2 flights of stairs (can potentially be moved into the shop area by request).
